The town
Santa Margherita means sea, colourful houses, palm trees and gardens, but above all it is a town to enjoy.

Elegant without being formal, lively without being chaotic, it still keeps the rhythm of a genuine Ligurian town.
Stroll along the seafront, stop at cafés and little restaurants, explore the caruggi — the narrow lanes of the town centre — and in just a few minutes go from the harbour to the first uphill paths surrounded by greenery.

Its greatest strength
Between the sea and the headland
One of the things we love most about Santa Margherita is its location. Portofino and Paraggi are very close, Camogli is just across the headland, and Rapallo, Zoagli and Chiavari are easy to reach.
Then there are the boats, trains and trails: you can leave the car behind and explore the coast, or head uphill towards Nozarego, San Lorenzo and Portofino Park.
The sea is always close here, yet all it takes is an uphill road to find yourself among olive trees, woods and entirely different views.
