Holidays with your pets

Dogs and cats are truly welcome here

Our Brina

We love animals and know that they are part of the holiday too

That is why we have also thought of our four-legged guests when furnishing the apartment: the balconies are protected with netting and there is a basket of toys for them beside the television unit. The toys have been used before, but that is often what makes them irresistible!

A walk, even a short one

As soon as you leave the gate, head uphill to the left for about fifteen metres: on the left you will find a small dog area, particularly handy for a quick outing or an older dog.

For running and playing in a larger space, there is Parco Cassinelli, on Viale La Torre, behind the tennis club: it is fenced, popular with dog owners and has benches and toys left for dogs to use.

At the seaside together

The dedicated dog beach is Bau Bau Beach, on the road to Paraggi, just after Covo di Nord-Est. Steps lead down to it; dogs can swim and there is a hose for rinsing them off.

It is a pleasant place for swimming together too. As is often the case in Liguria, the beach is pebbly: bring water shoes if you have them.

Out and about in Santa

In Santa Margherita you will often meet people walking their dogs. The pizzeria we recommend and the San Siro trattoria also welcome four-legged friends; mention that they will be joining you when you book.

A celebration for dogs

If you enjoy exploring the surrounding area, every 16 August San Rocco di Camogli hosts the Premio Internazionale Fedeltà del Cane (International Dog Loyalty Award): a celebration sharing special stories of friendship between people and dogs.

Exploring the area together

The walks and routes we recommend can also be enjoyed with your dog, choosing the route best suited to their habits and energy. For a gentle outing, the gardens of Villa Durazzo are enough; for a longer walk, there is the route towards Portofino and the headland’s trails, where dogs must be kept on a lead.

You can also set off together by train or boat if your companion is used to travelling and feels comfortable. Pets are allowed on Tigullio boats; for trains, check tickets and transport conditions before setting off. This way, you can choose the right outing for everyone each day.
